Upon arrival at 292 Hackney Rd, you’re greeted with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, more intimate than many London Thai eateries. What impressed me immediately was the balance in the menu: from comforting classics like Pad Thai and Green Curry to chef’s specials such as the Spicy Tamarind Duck and Grilled Seabass with Lemongrass. The flavour profiles are bold but not overpowering-clearly tailored by someone with deep understanding of Thai cuisine.

I sampled the Chicken Satay, which was tender and perfectly grilled, paired with a peanut sauce that was both creamy and aromatic. The Tom Yum soup had the ideal punch of heat and citrus tang, while the Massaman Curry showcased slow-cooked beef that melted on the tongue.
